Back in April while I was still planning the rebranding and subsequent re-launch of WinExtra I was still writing a bunch of Windows related stuff at what has become Shooting At Bubbles (most of which will be moved here). One of the more popular posts was the one I wrote lamenting some of the deficiencies of the Sticky Notes app in Windows 7.
Well today that post paid off in one sense in that someone was good enough to post a great tip when it comes to using Sticky Notes. While we still can’t change the font being used other than via cut and pasting of text we can now at least change the font size
The way you do this is as follows:
Ctrl + Shift + > makes the font bigger
Ctrl + Shift + < makes the font smaller
And that’s it
Enjoy.

LikeEven though this is not directly related to changing the font size it is something I want to sdhare. I found a nice freeware tool that expands the functionality of the Windows 7 Sticky Notes. With it you can have notes not only on the desktop but also at every application window you would like to. The tool is from bitsmithy.com an can be downloaded from their website http://bitsmithy.com

LikeIt seems that the font can be set only by pasting in text with the font you already want.

LikeThis info was very helpful. I was getting frustrated at not being able to change the font size. Something I was doing was "accidentally" making the font bigger but I could not find any way to make the font smaller. Thank you!

LikeWrite up your notes in wordpad, choose the font, size etc there. Then, when you copy the text back to stickynotes they will have the new font!
