Another week done eh.

As far as Microsoft related news it was a pretty quiet day but I did manage to find a few things of interest through the days events.

Microsoft:

• Patch Tuesday coming next week – Sunbelt Blog
  Microsoft has issued advance notification for the July patch on Tuesday. Four bulletins are expected.
• Microsoft wants its partners ‘All in’ with the cloud – Mary Jo Foley
  Starting July 12, Microsoft’s annual Worldwide Partner Conference kicks off in Washington, DC.
• Windows’ classic Minesweeper comes to the iPhone for free! – The Next Web
  For those of us who have grown up on Windows computers, countless hours have been wasted playing this fixture of 8-bit computer gaming.
• Microsoft Readies For War with New Small Business Division For Cloud Push – ReadWriteWeb
  Microsoft is making two big bets for the new fiscal year: the cloud and the small business market.

Windows:

• Windows 7 Backward Compatibility Update – gHacks
  Microsoft has released an update to the backward compatibility feature in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 that promises to increase the backwards compatibility of the operating systems.
• Microsoft’s new Hawaiian codenames are all about mobile – Mary Jo Foley
  Remember Microsoft Oahu? It supposedly was going to be a smaller (and somewhat cheaper) version of the Microsoft Surface table.

Windows Phone 7:

• First Windows Phone 7 Handsets Hit the Wild – GigaOM
  Microsoft is expected to bring new Windows Phone 7 handsets to the market this holiday season.

Windows Live:

Xbox:

• Macy’s to have Xbox 360 Kinect demos next week, hardcore what? – CrunchGear
  Microsoft has said over and over and over again that the Kinect is a serious gaming tool, designed for everyone from casual to hardcore gamers.
