With two weeks to go before the official launch of Windows 8, and devices like the surface, Microsoft has started its advertising campaign with the first ad intended to be played during Sunday football actually hitting the web first.

While Microsoft hasn’t officially confirmed the budget for the marketing campaign, rumor has it coming in around the $1.5 billion mark. For the new ads Microsoft has gone with their Windows ad agency of previous campaigns, Crispin Porter + Bogusky with the first ads being focused on Windows PCs and the new Windows 8 Metro user interface.

Personally I liked this ad but as with all things Microsoft your mileage may vary with bias.
