More information on the Windows Phone 7 March update – plus more
Thanks to Pierre, WinExtra’s man in Paris, we have some more info about the NoDo update as well as the timing of the major update we are expecting.
I got more precise in formation during this third day of MS Tech Days 2011: according to an Orange rep I talked to, the WP7 update will be deployed on March 7, in Europe at least. The same guy was quite aware of all of WP7′s current shortcomings, and told me not to expect them to be corrected until the second update, which might get deployed in early Fall – IOW, about one year after the initial WP7 launch.
A year?
WTH! Come on Microsoft, this is unacceptable and is definitely going to come back and bite you on the ass. Talk about putting a gun to the head of Windows Phone 7. You better hope Nokia is joining forces with you because this is ridiculous.
