Excuse Me But Is That Imperial AT-AT A Computer? [Pics]

I love case modders and seriously admire the imagination plus DIY skills that go into make the computer case creations we see show up on the web.

Whether it be Wally-E or a Mayan Calendar or something a simple as a beautiful example of art deco these talented folks make us look beyond the beige box.

Two of the most favorite themes when it comes to case modding would have to be video games and science fiction so it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that someone decided that the Star Wars Imperial AT-AT would make a perfect computer case.

So I present you with case modder Asphiax and his awesome case mod using the Star Wars Imperial AT-AT with the following goodies making up the computer part of the mod:

  • Zotax Z68 Mini ATX motherboard
  • Intel Core i7-2600K CPU
  • Sapphire 6870 GPU
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Cooling provided by Koolance 370 CPU and mosfet waterblocks with a Heatkiller NB/SB waterblock
  • XSPC pump
  • 2 x 240 radiators
  • 4 x 120mm Enermax Fans

For added fun he has added a USB powered Arduino to control a pair of red lasers installed in its head-cannons.

You can check out the complete build at Asphiax’s site.
