    Windows Ultimate adds a bunch of stuff. Pro doesnt have media centre but Home edition premium does. Ultimate gives you everything pro has as well as everything Home edition permium has. I think it gives you some encryptions stuff too.

    I wouldn’t buy it or recommend it (I get it with my MSDN subscription) but it definately has different features.

      I think the point was that for the ordinary consumer there is no point in buying ultimate. The additions aren’t worth it and much of what we were complaining about was with the Vista Ultimate Extra’s which never actually shipped as promised.

      • Sounds familiar – ala WIndows Phone – we will soon be delivering a compelling upgrade – yeah right!
