This little bit of news was first caught and mentioned by Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley on the Windows Weekly show with Leo Laporte, and it alludes; almost as a side note, that Office can run on Android and iOS.
While it seems that, at least to one study, that Microsoft’s Windows Phone is starting to climb up the marketshare mountain the company has put out what has to be one of the best ads they have done in .. well forever it seems.
We all knew it was coming, and while we may not know anything more at this point about what Microsoft has planned for the console they are going to be revealing “A New Generation” of the Xbox on May 21st at the Xbox campus.
Microsoft is well known for creating videos of what they envision as our future world and its technology. Granted they are mostly made to promote Microsoft’s vision and it’s products but they are still interesting to watch.
One of the tactics that Microsoft has been utilizing over the last few years in its fight against malware botnets is by filing lawsuits against botnet providers; and it has proven to be quite successful as evidenced with the latest takedown announced today.
As you can see Microsoft is looking to start 2013 with a catchy tune and lots of Windows 8 loving with these two new ads that showed up on their YouTube channel today.
Just to be clear this is probably an outlier type problem since it is something that will only interest a small minority of people but for me; and others who don’t have a credit card – or don’t want to use it for online purposes – this was a nice added bonus to find out today.
This month is a pretty important one for Microsoft as it preps to launch Windows 8 to a world that is still a little bit confused about what exactly is coming their way.
While we have already seen a couple of the new ads for Windows 8 the one’s released today are not just for the US as they take the campaign for their product worldwide.
