There is a rather interesting discussion developing in the world of paleontology (dinosaurs) about whether these great beast were actually cold-blooded, the long held belief, or were in fact warm-blooded like homosapiens.

One of the mainstays of science fiction is the idea that we are just one branch of multi-dimensional lines of history. As such if we were able to travel to those different timelines of American history what would we see.
