It might not happen tomorrow but Windows Phone will succeed

Since the launch of Windows Phone the on-going silence about sales figures for the Microsoft powered smartphones has left just about everyone with nothing to do but guess and scratch their heads as to what those final number might be like.
For the most part Microsoft has been extremely quiet which has lead some popular tech pundit to suggest that Microsoft could have another failure on its hands.
Well today during his keynote speech at the opening of the Worldwide PArtners Conference Steve Ballmer did make the following statement:
“In a year, we’ve gone from very small to … very small,” said Ballmer, referring to the WP7 market share.
This of course doesn’t come close to providing any real numbers but for better or worse that is all we have for the moment.
As expected there were a flurry of posts trumpeting this news across the tech blogosphere before the keynote was even finished; once again suggesting that Microsoft doesn’t get mobile and needs to get out of the business.
Bing to Lasso your search on Apple’s iPad [Video]
July 5, 2011 | StevenBing is launching an interesting update to their iPad app today that is bringing some improvements along with a new way for users to search for stuff on the iPad using Bing.
Apparently from the research being done by the Bing team they found that conducting searches on the iPad can actually be a bit of a pain that can take up to nine steps before you see any results. The idea behind Lasso is to reduce those steps down to two. Read More
