It’s getting closer.

No. I’m not talking about the end of the world but something much more important – the release of the next game in the Crysis franchise.

To help move the process along Crytek announced that starting today that the beta for Crysis 3 will be available to Xbox LIVE Gold members. The general release is in February but for now the beta is available with two unique maps: Museum and Airport; all to give players a teaser of what they can expect from the multiplayer experience.

EA has said that PS3 and PC players will get their own beta access but no word as to when; but they have also posted this Crysis 3 Beta Multiplayer video for your enjoyment )or teasing).

To celebrate the beta NVIDIA announced their own beta release today with a new set of drovers apparently optimized for the Crysis 3 experience.
