It looks like burning to disks is dying out. I use the Xbox360 to stream movies to my TV.

Indeed. Just get a PS3, even if you're not into games. It plays damn near any file type on disc or stick, including BluRay. Many people are using them as the workhorse of their Home Theater system.

LOL we have a PS3 but it's connected to a PC using an AVC device
The JVC is cheaper.

I had to see if it wasn't coming from Nigeria. I bee raffling this one.

There's a couple hundred difference in price.True, but with the PS3, it does what that other device does, plus a dvd/bd player, plus you can play CD's, plus you can view vids and pics off camera sticks, plus......
My angle is simplification. Why have 4 or 5 devices in your entertainment center when you can have one that does all the same things.
Of course, I just did some googling, and it appears that the newer, "slim" PS3's have significantly fewer capabilities than the 1st gen, full-size models.

He's already made $700, and the raffle won't even be held until he has sold 20. That's $1000!. What a shyster. Of course it takes a lot of suckers to make a good shyster. I'll bet a fair percentage didn't read the description. 'Raffle' should have been in the title.

Raffles are specifically in violation of ebay policy. There is even a selection for "raffles" in the report menu. People still try it regularly.

His listing is still up and he has sold 30 tickets even though the raffle was supposed to close at 20.

Yup. Apparently ebay doesn't care.
It's closed now.
