I have 3 profiles defined on my machine: one administrator which I use for maintenance, one for me, and one for my wife (both standard users). I'm running Win7 Ultimate. My wife only uses the machine occasionally – she does most of her computer work at the office. Suddenly yesterday afternoon, my profile's word processors (WordPerfect and MS Word – I have to use Word from time to time for compatibility reasons) cannot find the fonts and default to "device fonts" #1,#2 and #3 I suspect the same would be true for Outlook, but I haven't had to send an email yet since the problem manifested itself. I checked the Fonts folder, all my fonts are there. I have also checked for malware, nothing there.
I have the options of
1) re-creating my profile from scratch, which will waste a couple of hours (and I'll have to postpone that till tomorrow, as I have a busy day ahead), or
2) find where in the registry the link to the fonts folder is and repair it.
In the meantime I can use my wife's profile for my text processing tasks if I have to, but it's a PITA.
I'd appreciate any help for item #2. Thanks!
