Blackberry's communications are encrypted with a non-disclosed algorithm. As a result, the US Secret Service consider them as insecure and prevent government officials from using a Blackberry for confidential business. At the same time, some less than democratic governments gripe against the impossibility of eavesdropping and forbid Blackberry because they're "too secure" for their tastes.
