Ever since the house was built in '69, it's had drainage problems. Dad had built a makeshift wooden ramp deal to get the water away from the house. But it rotted away years ago, the problem still remained. The driveway is not sloped correctly, the way it's sloped (or should I say *was* sloped) put a lot of water toward the house.
Every few years I get water in the basement. I've had water in the basement 3 times this spring. I got home last night from the trial in Stevi to a musty smell. Damn!!!...water again...
I first talked to the excavator several weeks ago, he was saying "you could dig this up, check and seal this seam...etc" But then I got to thinking...lets do this right!

They're ripping the driveway and garage floor out and redoing it properly.
I'm sitting in the kitchen. The dogs are in the kitchen/dining room crashed out. The floor is shaking from the excavator.
