Rosewill internal card reader w/ USB port

AMD cpu
Win7 home Premium
Windows "sees" the reader, but reports a non-functioning device. The USB port on the reader functions. The card slots do not.
All MS updates in place. No drivers are available for the reader, as it is supposed to function natively.
Ideas?

Did you try putting a card in each slot? Usually Windows only loads the driver when a removable device is first used. Or maybe the reader needs an extra USB connection to the mobo (on Asus motherboards, each USB/IEE1394 riser gives you 2 ports, IIRC)? Of course there's always the possibility the reader is faulty.
