Damn, I bought the same toaster a few months back from Newegg, it was more than $22. The sad part is that I haven't used it, except to try to resuscitate a dead drive.

I was ready to pull the trigger on one but figured I may never need to use it. I have all of my older drives backed up on the NAS and raid 1 array so I would not have a need to access the physical drives.
If something dies I've got backup upon backup so I could just toss it, replace it, and restore the data on it.
Neat things for someone with a need for one.

I had one of my server raid drives go belly up on me yesterday. Got an IM from the datacenter saying the raid warning speaker was screaming bloody murder on server #3. It has been running 24/7 for 5 years (just under the warranty so I'll get a replacement). They put in a new drive from their stock and it took about 10 minutes for the array to rebuild.
