I would suggest making the top most post being a list of links that rate 8/10 or better. Maybe a top ten in 3 or 5 categories. Might be easier (KISS ). Who cares about credit. Make it easy to find for the visitors. And us forgetful old timers.

Personal Comments: I'm a very big fan of IrfanView, used it from the start. FIV is quickly replacing IrfanView as my viewer of choice due to it's quick load times, fast response and just general slickness. It will allow you to batch resize images with high quality results. It also comes in portable installation formats, making it perfect to use on your desktop as well as taking it on the go.

Program - HDD Health v2.1

HDD Health is a full-featured failure-prediction agent for machines using Windows 95, 98, NT, Me, 2000 and XP. Sitting in the system tray, it monitors hard disks and alerts you to impending failure. The program uses Self Monitoring and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) built into all new hard disks, and can predict failures on your hard drives. A host of alerting features include email, local pop-up messages, net messages, and event logging, while using no system resources.

This is a great little freebee program that monitors your HD and lets you know when SMART attributes change. I use it whenever I think I may have a failing HD. Its also great for monitoring those temps on your HD's.

Unlocker:

I'm not sure if this has been added yet, it's an excellent program in my opinion. Whenever Windows doesn't let you rename a program, or delete something, because it's already in use, or the filename is too long, you can use Unlocker to alter it. Works great.
