Under the old forums, clicking on a link in a post in IE would automatically open a new tab or page, thus making it easy to get back to the thread. In the new place, the "target=_blank" tag seems to be missing…

If you are using firefox there is an addon called "cool previews"

When you hold your mouse over the link you get an icon at the end of it. Move your pointer to that and it opens the link in its own window.

Great for these forums just hold your mouse on the item you want to read move to the icon it opens and you can read everything there. close the window and you are back at the forum you were in.

Alternatively right click open in new tab.
You can set firefox to open a new tab whenever you click a link.
I prefer the "Cool previews" Though.

I'll look into it and see if it can be changed without having to dig into the core files since any changes would be reversed on an update.

I noticed that the link posted in the topic "250 HD DVDs the size of a fingernail" didn't fold but continued outside the text boundaries.
