I have all of my passwords on an excel spreadsheet on my computer. I'd like to have them in a password manager that I could access with one password, and they'd be encrypted.
I use Firefox,is there a way to have access to my passwords wherever I log in while using Firefox? Or is that a pipe dream.

Is the trial time limited or crippled? I'd rather not pay if I don't have to.

There are _many_ different discounts you can apply to the purchase which lowers the price by 10 or 20 percent. I always grab the veteran's discount. (They don't specify which country the vet discount applies to, btw.)
Don't bother ordering the CD. Not necessary and it also gets rid of the shipping. So, for less than $27 you get a great product and well worth the cost.
To import your excel spreadsheet, save it as a CSV file and import that. Also, there are iPhone, iPad and Android apps for free.
If that doesn't work for you, you may want to consider LastPass and KeePass. KeePass is free. I've used it and really do not like it.
Just took a look at the website for the Firefox plugin.
There are two.
The first is a plugin that requires a normal install of Roboform. This is what I use.
The second is a plugin (Roboform Lite) that does not require the Roboform install. This is free but not all of the capabilities of regular Roboform are operational yet. I've no experience with this.
Forgot to mention that I also bought the Roboform2Go for the U3 thumbdrives. Waste of money, don't bother with it. U3 has failed and is no longer available. There is a non-U3 version but I haven't bothered with it as I'm more apt to use the website. I can't use thumbdrives on most of the computers at work anyways....

I use Password Safe (OpenSource software). Less integrated than Roboform, but lighter on resources. And Bruce Schneier is among the product's designers, which to me is a marker for quality in a security product.

I've been using SplashID Safe, http://www.splashdata.com/splashid/ for years. It was one of my top reasons for purchasing a Palm. I think it still uses Blowfish for encryption which, at least some time ago, Schneier liked.
When purchased a desktop and a smartphone version can be included which synchronize. All data remain on your machines. Because of that only two hosts can synchronize correctly (found that out the hard way).
It can import from some other password aps but AFAIK not from spreadsheets. It has some nice options that may be selected such as clicking on the stored URL and automatically entering your username and password on webpages.

There are a lot out there.
I have used keeypass for a long time.
you can load it on a thumb and the entire program is password protected with a master key.
I must have 400+ passwords on it (mine, customers, servers, you name it)
It is easy to organize in a tree folder structure
Nice stuff
Oh it is open source too so no cost.....
