I've just had the most delightful week in the south of France. We went down to visit with the stepdaughter and grandson who live in an area called the Luberon.
We toured around the valley with pauses at the most amazing variety of places. Gordes - An incredible medieval fortified town on a mountaintop.
Rousillon - another little village built on cliffs of brilliant red ocre rock.
Then through fields of lavender to Fontaine de Vaucluse and a walk up a beautiful riverside in a deep wooded valley.
She lives near to L'Isle sur Sorgue, where a river straight from the mountains splits either side of an island town.
All in all, an incredible few days and a part of the world I would definitely recommend to anyone.
