Just spent over an hour setting up a customer's simple cable modem and wireless router. First, wouldn't work at all. Started thinking the new router was defective. Replaced the cat5 that came with the router and the ethernet connection started working. No wireless. After a dozen resets, I acquired the latest firmware for the router. Major change. New UI to learn. Still no wireless. Back to thinking the router is bad. "Limited connectivity". I had my second (and, of course, last) surgery Wednesday, three weeks from my first. I think that the three week separation is because after three weeks the eye is stabilized. Of course I had to remove the left lens from my glasses after the first surgery and now I don't wear them at all (one of my co-workers seriously asked if I would remove the right lens after surgery on my right eye!). This morning I can barely make out browser text with a zoomed in browser with my right eye but it's no trouble with both eyes. My left eye meets the California driving criteria so I can drive. Based on my experience with my left eye I expect to be able to see better by Monday when I return to work (actually I will go in for a few hours today).</p> <p>Just after the surgery Wednesday my physician said I might feel as though something were under my eyelid for a bit but that was normal. I mentioned that he was certainly correct and it still felt that way so he looked at my eyelid closely and then removed a bit of lint that was under it!</p> <p>The day after my first surgery I attempted to barbecue a roast late in the day. It took forever to cook and I decided that I had not been able to read the barbecue temperature correctly - I must have been reading 250 for 350 in the dim light. </p> <p>I will have problems with close up vision such as for books especially when the light is not bright so expect to get measured for new glasses in 3 weeks.</p> <p>I was surprised on how much brighter everything looks and now know my purple geranium is really kind of violet! I did expect more vibrant colors, though My vision for night driving improved right away.</p> <p>I would recommend this for anyone whose ophthalmologist suggests it. One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what i just heard about Diogenes?"</p> <p>"Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me i'd like you to pass a little test. it's called the Triple Filter Test."</p> <p>"Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.</p> <p>"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"</p> <p>"No," the man said, "Actually i just heard about it."</p> <p>"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"</p> <p>"No, on the contrary..."</p> <p>"So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?"</p> <p>The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?"</p> <p>"No, not really."</p> <p>"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?"</p> <p>The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.</p> <p>it also explains why Socrates never found out that Diogenes was sleeping with his wife. </p>
