The National Weather Service is rolling out an advanced radar. Some of you are already being served by this. Rollout across the USA should be done by next spring.
Runs both horizontal and vertical waves to get a significantly better picture of what is going on. One more step in getting more accurate warnings will save more lives.

Surface has been around since 2005 but is urber expensive and ahead of most of the complimentary technology at that time.
I now has a good future and should come down to within the "Expensive" range

Yes it is. There's been a demo here at the Microsoft TechDays (which is taking place in Paris from February 7 – yesterday – through February 9 – tomorrow). Of course it's only a prototype, but well advanced – and definitely beyond my budget <img src="http://www.winextra.com/forums/my-plugins/smiley-choice/Default Smiley/icon_wink.gif" title=";)" class="bb_smilies" />

Oh, I will. I'll probably go to the same surgeon who recently operated on my friend's left eye last November – he (the surgeon) postponed the second eye because the cataract isn't in an advanced enough state.

My advice would be to choose an ophthalmologist who is currently doing a *lot* of cataract surgery using modern technology such as an ultrasonic scalpel. I know that my guy does at least 15 a week, probably more, has been doing them for a long time, and is very good at it.

There are several studies that show that high success rates of surgical procedures are correlated with the number performed at the institution and the surgeon. Both the surgeon and the support team are in good practice.

I made sure to get a referral (which resulted in another referral) when I found I had prostate cancer. I got advice and finally picked an urologist who had been in med school when laproscopic surgery was starting to be used and learned it. (Coincidentally he was a friend and classmate of my urologist, too). After he was in practice he was the one who trained urologists in a couple of hospitals well known in southern California for their excellence. That's one of the best decisions I have made in the last decade, I think.
