I had my second (and, of course, last) surgery Wednesday, three weeks from my first. I think that the three week separation is because after three weeks the eye is stabilized. Of course I had to remove the left lens from my glasses after the first surgery and now I don't wear them at all (one of my co-workers seriously asked if I would remove the right lens after surgery on my right eye!). This morning I can barely make out browser text with a zoomed in browser with my right eye but it's no trouble with both eyes. My left eye meets the California driving criteria so I can drive. Based on my experience with my left eye I expect to be able to see better by Monday when I return to work (actually I will go in for a few hours today).</p> <p>Just after the surgery Wednesday my physician said I might feel as though something were under my eyelid for a bit but that was normal. I mentioned that he was certainly correct and it still felt that way so he looked at my eyelid closely and then removed a bit of lint that was under it!</p> <p>The day after my first surgery I attempted to barbecue a roast late in the day. It took forever to cook and I decided that I had not been able to read the barbecue temperature correctly - I must have been reading 250 for 350 in the dim light. </p> <p>I will have problems with close up vision such as for books especially when the light is not bright so expect to get measured for new glasses in 3 weeks.</p> <p>I was surprised on how much brighter everything looks and now know my purple geranium is really kind of violet! I did expect more vibrant colors, though My vision for night driving improved right away.</p> <p>I would recommend this for anyone whose ophthalmologist suggests it. Given the myriad things that can happen that will invoke NCAA investigations, everybody learns to pass on something in such a way that everyone's butt is covered without going into too much detail. Denialability is a way of life for a coach.<br /> Again, that does not excuse the way this was handled. But it is the culture they live/work in.<br /> I still feel someone or several are going to be charged with criminal charges yet.
