That information, in aggregate, is sold to marketers as well as used to generate targeted marketing. From what I've read on the internet, Zynga scrapes friends lists and targets marketing to them as well. So, I pose the question back to you in two forms: 1. Why would you want to spend money to be marketed to? 2. Why waste your time? (This coming from a guy that plays iMafia all the time.) There <strike>is</strike> was a time limit of 60 minutes after which you could no longer edit them.
