The pedigree of the two folks behind the Jakarta-base Empire Studio include such films as Iron Man 1 and 2, Star Trek, Sanctum, Priest, and Rango just to name a few and this first effort of the new studio called “The Escape” is definitely visually beautiful but personally I think we have highlighted better short sci-fi films, some of which have actually gone on to be picked up by Hollywood (here’s hoping they don’t ruin them).
