While Hollywood seems happy to keep pumping out mediocre sci-fi movies the indie film industry continues to show that they can do it better as evidenced by the many short films we have posted about here.

Keeping up with that idea we have a new trailer for for a science fiction short film directed by Tyson Wade Johnston called “Seed” which is a story about a man who is part of an expedition to colonize a planet called Gaia who finds out that things are not as they seem on this planet.

From the Vimeo page for the trailer the official description is:

Set in the year 2071, where technology has brought mankind to the brink of colonization on a planet named Gaia, one man takes on an isolated mission and discovers unearthly horrors that could bring an end to life on this planet.

While I’m not one for horror type movies, which this apparently has a healthy dose of in it, this looks promising.
