Whenever I attempted to carve a pumpkin I was lucky if it didn’t consist on nothing but triangles for eyes and some sort of gaping wound for a mouth and that was when I was in my thirties, now I don’t even bother; but then I don’t have the incredible artistic skill that Ray Villafane has, not that many of us would for that matter.

Pumpkins might not seem to be the most logical choice for an artistic canvas but Ray does those orange balls of pulp more than justice.
