Here you go folks the newest episode of Things You Can’t Say About The Internet with myself, Cyndy Aleo-Carreria and Duncan Riley. In this episode we have a discussion about the newest entry of Google’s Chrome where I am accused of drinking too much kool-aid. Cyndy claims she will never use it come hell or high water but of couse they’ll have to release a Mac version first so time will tell there. Duncan of couse being the sensible one even though he did offer me another glass of kool-aid said he would try it when it comes out with a Mac version.

While Chrome did take up the better part of the show we did get onto a couple of other subjects such as the new version of Picasa and a bit of a discussion about blog design style which was prompter by my recent launch of The Hodson Report blog. This lead into a fun and heated discussion about advertising on blogs but all in all it was another great show with lots of laughs.

It’s Thursday so that means it’s time once again for Things You Can’t Say About The Internet with Cyndy Aleo-Carreira, myself and our return Duncan Riley who fell off the kool-aid wagon last week during his visit to the US. I still think he snuck some back with him but hopefully being back in Australia he’ll give it up for good.

A good portion of tonight’s podcast was spent talking about the recent discussion about Robert Scoble’s passionates vs non-passionates. Along with that we talked about Duncan’s faith in Dave Winer as the US CTO and Android dropping Bluetooth support. All in al it was a fun show as usual and hopefully you will enjoy it as well.

Tonight’s Discussion Point is all about a scrappy little company called Psystar taking on Apple over the right to be able to sell generic PC computers with the OS X platform installed on it. Jason Kaneshiro from webomatica.com who is a big fan of Apple was good enough to join me in the discussion providing an interesting viewpoint as an Apple user. We also branched out at the end to talk about the recent dustup Apple is having with Infurious Comics over an application being pulled from the App Store.

In light of my post earlier today about treating advertising as a tip jar I got together tonight with Allen Stern of CenterNetworks who also talked about the subject today, It was an interesting and fun discussion which also branched out into talking about advertising on blogs as a whole. Plus not satisfied with just that I also talked with Allen about his feeling on Disqus. As a result the podcast went a little bit over its usual half hour but I think it was time well spent and hopefully you will enjoy the results of our talk together.

Elite Tech News #19 – Awww “BLEEP”

After a bit of a hiatus the crew is back in what had to be one of the most fun shows to date. With the lull of any real tech news making it to our Elite Tech News reddit we had to look beyond our normal news filter for some interesting things to talk about after all you can only talk so much about some silly thing called an iPhone.

On hand for this episode was our ringleader Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins from Mashable, Jason Kaneshiro from webomatica, myself and Art Lindsey our producer who actually had to bleep himself at one point during the show. The show topics covered a range of topics which included Dave Winer as a potential CTO of the US, Netflix going down on its customers through to the Air Force’s closure of its Cyber Warfare Division. All in all it was a rather fun and interesting show.

Well even though Duncan abandoned us for some shindig in Seattle called Gnomedex we were lucky enough to have myself and Cyndy Aleo-Carreira joined by Allen Stern of CenterNetworks and Charlie Anzman from SEO and Tech Daily. True to our usual fashion we found several items from the past week to have our say about. Even though Cyndy did get a little rantie during one of the subjects of discussion it was a good time for all involved.

As for the subjects we talked about – well it ranged from the propaganda machinery at work at the Olympics through to bloggers being unfairly labeled as irresponsible for doing their job just because some people’s sensitivities got rubbed the wrong way. Anyway have an enjoyable listen as we have our say.

Things You Can’t Say About The Internet Ep. #7

Last night Cyndy Aleo-Carreira, Duncan Riley and myself got together for another episode of our weekly podcast Things You Can’t Say About the Internet. Normally we try to talk about a number of subjects but last night’s show centered around the whole Thomas Hawk affair with some additional input from our guest panelist Jason Carreira.

As usual the discussion was interesting and heated at times but all in all a very enjoyable time. Hopefully you will enjoy listening to it as well even with the rather strange addition of a childish person at the the end of the show who seem to have discovered a weakness in the Talkshoe setup that allowed him to interferer with our call.
