Hovercrafts are cool in their own right, after all they can travel at high speeds over water, dirt, swamp, and pavement but as cool as they might be they are usually pretty boring and utilitarian looking.
It was this boring design that Michael Mercier and Chris Jones decided to change with their Bugatti inspired design that brings the spirit of modern supercars and luxury to the hovercraft as you can see in the images with this post.
The craft comes with an open cockpit design with sport seating for two along with space for additional passengers on the side decks. The hovercraft is made from carbon fiber and metal alloys that combines construction methods from the automobile, marine, and aerospace industries.
Powering this thing of beauty is a gas powered engine that powers three independent electric motors on the drive system and a battery pack is there to provide a quick boost to its performance.
Even though the project didn’t make it on Indiegogo the brothers are trying to carry on by accepting donations which would go towards your purchase of your Mercier-Jones hovercraft.
