Don't drink the 9 year old milk

Most companies want you to drink the Kool-Aid, but there’s nothing cool about Internet Explorer 6 and Microsoft wants you to know that the 9 year old browser has more than passed it’s expiration date.

The online campaign (you’ll have to visit in IE 6), currently targeted at Australian IE 6 users compares using the geriatric browser to drinking 9 year old milk. Lets be honest here, drinking 9 year old milk would likely be an exercise in eating rather than drinking but at least Microsoft are making pushes to finally put the old cow out to pasture for good.

We’re not sure what kind of campaign Microsoft will launch in other countries to promote the euthanizing of the aging bovine (no I’m not talking about your mother in-law) but we can be sure it will, knowing Microsofts marketing department, be equally, mind numbingly dull and curdling to your brain.

I can’t wait to see what they come up with for their XP campaign – “You wouldn’t eat 9 year old sausage?”. But then that might result in a wave of religious institutions snapping up any remaining XP licenses.
