How Does A Supernatural Avengers Type Movie By del Toro, DC, And Warner Bros. Sound?

Even though Pacific Rim hasn’t hit the theaters yet it seems that Warner Bros is so pleased with the result, that is also apparently testing really well with test audiences, that they have been offering Guillermo del Toro some cream of the crop projects for him to direct.

Interestingly enough del Toro has turned down the idea of doing V and a Charlie in the Chocolate Factory sequel but instead is proposing a “supernatural” style Avengers, and he even has a list of characters that he wants to see in the movie. Check out these character choices from del Toro’s idea:

  • Deadman
  • The Spectre
  • Swamp Thing
  • Constantine Hellblazer
  • Phantom Stranger
  • Zatanna
  • Zatara
  • Sargon
  • Etrigan the Demon

That’s a hellva list of characters and I obviously have been out of the DC universe because the only names I recognize is The Spectre and Swamp Thing but this still could be a really good idea given that del Toro is behind it.

Warner Bros. must think the same thing because they are apparently have had their lawyers hard at work clearing all the rights to the characters.
