A robotic prosthetic arm – in LEGO [Video]

There are folks that like to use LEGO to make things like the Super Star Destroyer to Angry Birds and Inspector Gadget, and then there are folks like Max Shepard (sumthinelse5790 on YouTube) who go out and create a real working robotic prosthetic arm.

Don’t let the fact that this is made out of LEGO fool you folks as this working model has full hand and finger movement, wrist abduction/adduction and pronation/supination as well as flexion/extension; and this is only just the beginning (not to mention more terms that are giving me a headache trying to understand).

This model wasn’t meant to exhibit lifting ability, rather it is an experiment in range of motion.
