While the plans for a Microsoft owned retail channel might only be in the early preliminary planning and conversation phase, or so says Microsoft at this point, it does appear that they at least have designed a logo for it. The news comes from Long Zheng (again .. damn he’s everywhere) that the company has filed it last week at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

msstorelogo

The trademark is registered to cover a whole slew of goods and services including the following

  • retail store services
  • online retail services
  • computers
  • computer hardware
  • software
  • computer games
  • computer peripherals
  • portable music players
  • personal digital assistants
  • cell phones
  • video game consoles
  • webcams
  • books
  • clothing
  • other miscellaneous and novelty goods

Well I think pretty well covers the gamut eh.
