Had a rather fun time this evening after being invited to add my 2 cents to the conversation on Aaron Brazell’s new politics and tech podcast. There was quite the stellar crew onboard for the podcast and an often spirited back and forth between all who were there. For now though here’s a few things that caught my eye in today’s FriendFeed pipeline.
Failure to Launch: Rogers Botches iPhone Debut [nw] :: smithereens – have to admit to a bit of perverse pleasure on reading this one.
Dusty Windshield Art [nw] :: Damn Cool Pics – it is amazing the things people will use to create works of art – too bad their gone with the next rainfall.
Impressive Storm Sewer System / Saitama, Japan [nw] :: Arch Daily – wow .. talk about doing something on a gigantic scale.
The Death Of The A-list [nw] :: Jim Kukral – sorry Jim but this idea has as about as much validity as Calacanis quitting blogging in the first place.
Don’t Buy the Coming Hype - Apple Botched the iPhone Launch, Not the Carriers [nw] :: Technosailor – and yet another offering as to why there was a fiasco yesterday with the release of the much over hyped iPhone 3G.

Thanks for sharing my article in your pipeline post. The MSM has all but ignored the launch issues, in favour of concentrating on the wonderfulness of the phone itself. I thought it important to relay the chaos that prevailed on Friday. Long time reader, first time commenter by the way - Keep up the great work here!

Love your note on the A-list. I couldn't agree more. The early adopters always get the worm. One look at the A-list and, though they may not have any more talent than you or me, they were there first, got the following, got the fame and some of them got the fortune. That's the way it works. It's not unfair - I think they deserve it - they dove in the water when it was cold and shallow and road the wave before it was one!
