I like trying new things when it comes to technology and my blog here at WinExtra so today I am starting up a new podcast that will be separate from the Off the Cuff show. The name of it as you might be able to tell from the headline is Smoke Break. The idea of the show is that during my morning catch up of feeds over a pot of coffee I come across some posts that are fun or interesting but they aren’t enough to write a whole blog post about. So I’m going to package them up along with my rambling thoughts into a podcast that will get posted in the afternoon at some point.

In this inaugural episode I talk about BoingBoing’s response to a little flare up over nuking Violet Blues posts. As well I pass along some info about a new service called Gnip and of course some silliness about people selling their lives online. Plus I suggest a blog that should be in your feed reader if only for the unique way the posts are written.

So let me know what you think of the show idea and if there are things you would like done a little different or even if the idea stinks.
