Well from one of the most boring American Idol finales that I have seen (shared TV time with my wife) to the pending Twitter boycott you can really say anything exciting has happened. So in the meantime here’s a few things that caught my eye today in the FriendFeed pipeline.
Yes, FriendFeed Will Be Mainstream (by 2018) and Here’s Why :: I’m Not Actually a Geek - Hutch goes right out on a limb here predicting that FriendFeed will hit mainstream popularity somewhere around 2018. Myself I’m kinda hoping that it remains a niche market service so that it doesn’t get ruined.
8 Semi-Finalists Have Been Selected - On To Round 2! :: Enterprise 2.0 Conference - Congrats to NewsGator the company behind one of the best RSS readers on the market - FeedDemon. Here’s hoping they take first place.
Social media experts - it’s all relative. :: Colin Walker - Colin takes some well place shots at so-called social media experts.
The Problem With FriendFeed(ing): It’s Not Twitter :: SheGeeks - Corvida posts about her hopes that people won’t start using FriendFeed as a Twitter replacement which in her mind is not what it is meant for.
The FriendFeed Sponge :: notes, thoughts, ideas and responses - Julian takes on the so-called noise level of FriendFeed and notes that with involvement it really isn’t as noisy as people might make it out to be.
Search Techmeme from FeedDemon :: Nick Bradbury - no sooner does Techmeme announce a new search feature than Nick gives you a simple way to add it as one of the search providers in FeedDemon .. thanks Nick.
