From the Pipeline - 4.27.08

I’ve been having a line from a post today by Dave Winer running through my head. Even though the post in general didn’t interest me this last line did - "we need to reform how ideas and information flows in our country". Somehow that strikes me as being important but I just can’t seem to connect the dots on it yet. Oh well, in the meantime here’s some things that caught my eye in today’s FriendFeed pipeline.

Twitter spewage among my contacts :: Scripting News - this must be the week for Twitter metrics because now we have Dave chiming in with his version of another set of basically useless number crunching.

Is technology a crutch? :: RickMahn.com - just a few relevant questions about how technology that is suppose to make our lives as bloggers a little easier maybe isn’t working out so well.

Twitter Metrics: Let’s Remain Scientific, Please! :: Climbing to the Stars - I’m not much for watching video posts but this one by Stephanie does an excellent job of bringing some sanity to this whole Twitter metrics nonsense. Well worth watching.

Official ReadBurner Widget Contest :: ReadBurner - the reborn ReadBurner service is looking to get into the widget space and have thrown creating one open to the community.

How Do You Use Your Cognitive Surplus? :: SocialTimes - some how I don’t think that drinking beer and watching television is going to replaced anytime soon by more people becoming content producers.
