Get your Disqus comments inside of Google gReader

I just got an email from Paul Arterburn over at blog!167 about a new extension and bookmarklet for Firefox that will let you view Disqus comments in Google gReader. Below are a couple of screenshots I snagged from Paul’s page for the goodies

I’m not a user of Google’s gReader but a heck of a lot of people are so I imagine this could be a really handy extension for them to have. After all anything that helps folks to be able to easily make comments and be a part of the conversation is a good thing.

I've been talking to Paul about using the same source for RSSmeme's disqus comments. If we all point to the same disqus "forum" and use the same url scheme (best to use the url of the story obviously) then the disqus thread as it appears in RSSmeme would be the same as the thread using this extension.

Touché...the bigger idea here is to prevent that fragmentation. One of the major goals I have for this project is for it to link up to FriendFeed - where the conversations are truly worth being a part of.
