One of the most common complaints I have seen on FriendFeed; especially among newcomers to the service is what they perceive as the noise level because of all the social services that FriendFeed allows you to track. This is especially apparent with Twitter as many people use both it and FriendFeed so a lot of echoing can occur.
I think that this is enough of a problem that is has been a negative used against FriendFeed unnecessarily. However the guys at FriendFeed knew this could be a potential problem and built in away for you to quiet the noise selectively service by service. Unfortunately the way to use this filtering system it is not the most obvious.
So for all you new folks - and even some of the FriendFeed old timers - here is a nice simple screen capture to show you where to look.

The first thing you do is select the offending party and the posting from the service you want to filter out. BTW Philipp this wasn’t personal you just to happened to be the first post on the FF page when I took the screen capture
Then click on the Option link under the title of their post.
Then click on Hide entries like this.
Done.
So if you have selected one of their Twitter entries and done this you should no longer see any of their Twittering on FriendFeed.
See .. wasn’t that easy
Now go filter away to your heart’s content.
