I don’t know about you but the first thing I thought of when I read Michael Arrington’s review yesterday of FriendFeed following the release of their search feature is that nothing could be more opposite of the one written by Duncan Riley. It was almost like watching a tired old good cop - bad cop routine on a badly written US cop show that gets canceled early.
On the Friday you have Duncan’s review which following the dust up that happened after a post on his own site trying to give some smackdown to Louis Gray pretty well assured flowing link love for both TechCrunch and Duncan’s site all weekend. Then on Monday following FriendFeed’s announcement of search being added to the service you have Michael suggesting that FriendFeed is now a destination site and was a smart thing to do.
It might be old and tired but you got admit it is a great tactic to keep us amused on the weekends and keep the revenue flowing for TechCrunch.
