From the Pipeline - 3.14.08

I’m slowing getting over my hair pulling escapades with wiki software and my little project is actually starting to take shape. Just a little more content in the different areas and I should be good to go. In the meantime from today’s pipeline here’s some goodies that grabbed my attention.

Twitter as Coffee Break :: Blog Herald - Chris has a interesting take on one of the benefits of having Twitter around.

My Announcement: I’ve Purchased ReadBurner :: Adam Ostrow - I got a heads up on this late last night and by the time I got rolling today everyone else had gotten the glory so I saved it for here. Congrats to Adam and I am sure there is a whole community of users out there wanting to shake your hand.

ReadBurner to Return With New Ownership :: Louis Gray - from the man who introduced (discovered) ReadBurner in the first place this is his take on it being brought back to life by Adam and the gang.

This Post Belongs on Techmeme :: Nick Bradbury - In a short intro Nick points us to a post on Back in Skinny Jeans about the real reason she left the tech industry and Nick is right this post should have gotten a lot more coverage than it did. In fact it is one that should be shoved in the face of every smug faced male who thinks women have no place behind a computer.

Humanity’s Identity Crises :: Kevin Kelly - this man’s writings never cease to make me stop and think. Today’s post is another such piece that make much reference to Philip K Dick and how even today his writings still have relevance.

Facebook To Launch Instant Messaging Service :: TechCrunch - oh great - just what we need another closed walled instant messenger service. Hang on a sec … didn’t AOL, ICQ, Yahoo, Microsoft all try this? As Dr. Phil would say "How’s it working for you now?" .. in other words what the hell is Facebook thinking.

FriendFeed Appeals to Women, Too! :: Climbing to the Stars - Duncan may not have a clue about FriendFeed but Stephanie is quick to point out that there are a lot of women that do. Maybe TechCrunch needs a woman writer who gets it :)
