having spent the last few days trying to setup a new site that seemed best suited for - exactly as you put it "editing in a browser". The problem is that things like 3 apostrophes on either side of a word in order to make it bold is arcane. The idea of a number of exclamation marks before a line of text to indicate the size of the heading it is is arcane. I could carry on with all the wiki syntax that has been driving me nuts over the last few days but I think you get my point.

PBWiki is a great product but it didn't suit my needs as I needed a standalone product which meant having to get my hands dirty with the behind the scenes wiki language which users of your product may not have to.

I'm curious - how do you see wikis as being arcane? It's pretty much just adding an edit button to a web browser. Have you tried using our 2.0? The whoop-di-doo is that it's simpler than ever to share information. Seriously, just click edit. There's no fancy codes or anything.
