Even though this little tidbit about plants Twittering you when they are getting low on their water supply may seem fanciful and bordering on silly the fact is if I was an owner of a home security company I would be getting a little worried.

Think about it for a second.

If someone is clever enough to come up with the mechanics of what is needed for your plants to issue a simple Twitter how long will it be before that concept is expanded to where your home has its own Twitter ID and has its own friends and followers. Talk about a smart house on the cheap especially considering how many homes now have always on broadband connections.

Think it won’t happen?

Well I betcha never thought your plants would be able to twitter either.
