Everyone has an opinion even if it makes no sense.

Let's just make the shit up MG Siegler over at ParisLemon points us to a report from Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry. In this report Trip suggests that the whole Machiavellian reason for Microsoft’s bid to buy Yahoo is nothing more than a delaying tactic to stall any merger plans between Yahoo and Amazon.

Excuse me?

Amazon?

WTF did he come up with that idea because it sure isn’t from any the reports I read surrounding the deal. Plus the idea that Microsoft would bluff with $45 Billion dollars on the table is ludicrous at best. On top of that as MG points out Microsoft has laid out its entire reasoning why they would want he deal to go ahead:

Most important in all of this is that Microsoft has laid out a very compelling case for why they need Yahoo - and why such a deal makes sense. On many levels it does make sense, it is very clear now that neither company can compete on its own in the aforementioned search and online advertising markets with Google. #2 and #3 (Yahoo and Microsoft) combined would still not be close to #1 (Google), but they would certainly be closer and in a better position to compete.

My suggestion to Global Equities would be to piss test Mr. Chowdhry because this reports sounds more like ramblings from one taking too many trips with a crack pipe than someone with a serious clue about what is going on.
