Thanks Louis - I’m liking ReadBurner

Typically I am reluctant to jump on any new service that comes along and starts getting rave reviews from day one for whatever it the service does. So it wasn’t until today that I finally got around to actually checking out ReadBurner. The basic premise behind the service is to let you know what; and who, is sharing blogs posts via Google Reader.
I won’t even try to re-cover ground that has been more than adequately been covered by Louis Gray in his breaking; and continued updates, posts about ReadBurner. Instead I just want to congratulate Alexander Marktl with coming up with what I think is a truly useful service. Already I have added the feeds for Popular and Upcoming to FeedDemon but I have one request for future consideration.
On the site you have included the actual blogs that have added the post that is listed but that information doesn’t show up in the RSS feed. Now I pretty well live in FeedDemon even to the point that the built-in browser is my primary browser so because of this I don’t see this additional information which for me is equally important as the post itself. In a way for those of us that primarily use our feed clients not having that information kinda defeats the informational value of ReadBurner.
On the whole though I think that ReadBurner is going to be a great addition to the blogosphere and as the popularity of Google Reader increases that value of ReadBurner can only increases as well. It is only too bad that they can’t find a way to include other shared feed providers; like FeedDemon Shared Feeds, into the mix as well.
