I am a big fan of Windows Live Writer (WLW); which is Microsoft’s free blog editor, and I never worry about recommending it to anyone when they ask about tools to make a blogger’s life a little easier. Between an excellent program; and a whole slew of equally good and handy plugins that are available for WLW a blogger couldn’t have a better way to do their job - concentrate on the writing and let the tools do the heavy work.
Additionally if you use WordPress as your blogging platform it gets even easy because the WLW team have worked really hard to make the program integrate with WP behind the scenes so that things like Categories or Tags among the common things are easily accessible from within WLW i.e.: being able to add new categories to your WP install on the fly from WLW.
Then today I came across a post (via Nick Bradbury’s Link Blog) on DragonStyle that shows step by step how you can also include WP Pages from within WLW as well. Now I don’t use pages much here on WinExtra but this is definitely one tip that has been added to my Save On The Pain Of Death Bin.
A big thanks for Charles at DragonStyle for sharing this tip which I hope those WLW user’s out there will also be saving it away for future reference.
