Sometimes a post can just plain bug you and you not really know why. Such was the case with Dave Winer’s post about the “h” word … then I figured it out.

I must be one of the very few who couldn’t give a rat’s ass that it’s download day for some browser called Firefox. Now if Safari said they had fixed the paragraph tag stripping bug then I’d be excited.
Added a new folder to my FeedDemon folder tree – Tech Thinkers .. because there are a whole bunch of really smart people out there adding some real value to the greater conversation. They get the priority now over the old regurgitators out there.
Even though there isn't that much stock placed anymore in the Technorati rankings I still like it when I make it through to a new level.
learned an interesting lesson the last few days - recognition depends on the number of faithful followers you have and not if you actually did something first.
Unlike direct messages in Twitter there is no back channel avenues available on FriendFeed

Wow. That doesn’t add much to the debate, but it was the first thing that came to mind after listening.
Your common sense is refreshing. Maybe it’s because I write on education, a topic so varied and contentious that I seldom come away from an article satisfied, but I’m not used to reading/hearing something and agreeing in full.
Your comments were right on about Winer’s inappropriate use of an emotional appeal - especially the particular one he used and that the situation didn’t warrant it at all. Shameful.
Thank you for the kind words. Sometimes all we have left is common sense even though it doesn’t seem to be highly valued in this day and age.
Question about your podcast - what setup do you use? I remember reading that you got a new mic, though I forget the model. And what software?
