I don’t normally do review type posts of web hosts as I figure that the subject is a little out of my interest range so when I received an email today from Kaumil Patel of vistaPages.com* asking if I would be willing to do a review of their services I almost declined.
Being the curious person I am though I thought I would check them out first and that is when I noticed that they had hit on one of my pet peeves about the internet that being method of payment for services.
More than once I have vented my frustration with web companies that seem to think that everyone in the world has a credit card; or if they don’t then the company doesn’t want to do business with them. That is one of the reasons why I am with my current web host.
Well it appears you can count vistaPages.com* among the rare web companies that supports payment using PayPal. I’m sure that there are probably others who do but finding them can be a real pain.
While I can’t comment on vistaPages’ actual service I can tell you that their basic package won’t be of any use for bloggers because there is no included MySQL support for it. However for just over $6.00 a month their middle hosting package looks like it would be quite suitable for a small to medium size blog.
So if you don’t have a credit card but have a PayPal account and you want to set yourself up on the web with a small site, blog or company site maybe take a moment and check out their services to see if they have something to suit your needs.

** A bit of disclosure: Even though I was requested to do a review I have posted the above without any compensation or discussion of any. I wrote it strictly to pass along information some-one out there might find handy.
