Josh over at Windows Connected posted some thoughts on 5 things that Vista has done wrong - which is continuation of Brad Wardell’s post on the same subject over at Neowin.
So here’s a list of 5 things I think Microsoft has done wrong with Vista in no real order of importance:
- File Copy/Move - this whole thing is an outright disaster especially over a network with large media files. IMO Vista should never have gone out RTM with this the way it is
- Ultimate Extras - like Josh I fell Microsoft has dropped the ball big time on this leaving a lot of users feeling more than ripped off.
- Control Panel - unlike Josh who just pointed out the Network Center as being problematic I feel the whole revamp they did of the Control Panel area was pointless and only made things harder for new users.
- Explorer - The fact that it doesn’t remember any settings such as over all window size, persistence of View’s selection sucks and the folder view behavior is irritating
- Dreamscape - this is a useless resource hog and needs some serious work and some way to make it actually useful to use
Well that’s my selection off the top of my head … what are some of your picks ……
