Bloggers love metrics - even the ones who say they don’t care secretly check their Technorati standings under cover of night. Some of this is purely ego puffery for some while for others it is just an abnormal curiosity about their stats.

Well today we have a new one to add to our sidebars called Romlet which has just gone into beta release according to the email I received today. So being the good stats nut I headed over to sign up; which turned out to be exceedingly easy to do.

After about 5 minutes they had my info and I had my widget and tracking code to put on the site - which you can see on the farthest right sidebar about halfway down. In the words of the folks at Romlet this is what the whole thing is about:
